Well, the painting brush looks like Lexis has been painting with it, rather than I, however, I am certain he did not ever play with this paintbrush! It is (maybe) one of my older brushes – I did use green brushes just like this from the start, and for many years after, when painting with traditional tube oils and acrylics. This painting box has flaps that fold back, and a front flap that drops open, to carry paintings and canvases. Two canvas supports lift from the box-top. The original maquette was in cardboard, including front flap that drops down. It was influenced by C. Judson’s art box – but different, without the sides on cover left and right, – and with a canvas carrying area, and integral pull-out canvas support for larger works. Final design with G. Bettencourt who suggested, for example, side flaps (instead of no sides, that folded back – protecting what is in the box when closed, and for example engineered the pull-out canvas grips (two, so that two little canvases at a time can be painted, side-by-side. Built by G. Bettencourt, incorporating C. Judson’s art box’s adjustable side hinge, and feet, and plate for attachment to tripod. Working quality – super, although a bit heavy for the box to be super stable on the tripod. A stronger tripod for very heavy camera equipment perhaps, or somewhat lighter box, might improve performance.
