Print and poem, about lakes, chemistry in the environment, and limnology. Natural earth pigment ink on paper.

Academic with K. Ritchie. PSU. Print and poem, about lakes, chemistry in the environment, and limnology. The poem was added at the end, and written while sitting in a car in a parking lot just off campus – it turns out, that day, that was an ok place to think and write. The earth pigment ink I made – it was an experiment, thinking from the method of making printing ink with ink medium used by the class, and what I had learned from workshops with M. Price. The black “ink” might be a lamp black actually. As it has been a while since it was made, I will have to try and find how this was done, to post it. The mussel’s path – this is real – something I was working on as a professional (non-academic) project, which as it was in my thoughts, got brought into this academic work.
